Adults of Reddit, what is something you really regret doing as a teenager?

I don't have regrets, but I learned a lot of lessons from stupid mistakes.

Lesson one: Don't try so hard at being something your not. Just be yourself, improve yourself and you will learn to like yourself.

I was basically a less extreme version of JROC in the mid 90's.

Then I just ended up being a white trash punk until I joined the military and learned to just be myself.

Lesson 2: Don't waste time on girls who aren't interested in you and stop ignoring the ones who are. I lost my virginity at 14 to the best friend of the "girl of my dreams (at the time)" and ruined any chance of winning her over. Then wasted about 5 years on another girl who friend zoned me in the first couple of months and dated every single one of my friends but me and it wasn't for lack of trying. I still have feelings for the last girl 20 years later but I'm far happier now than I ever would be with her.

Lesson 3: Stay fit, healthy and active, and learn how to eat fresh, healthy food (not processed shit). It's a lot easier to maintain fitness than it is to find it again after putting on significant weight gain.
