Adverts on Netflix? You know it's good for you

Reading this feels like drinking kool-aid. The author compares it to YouTube and being able to skip ads.... except there are unskippable ads and ads that are played for x amount of time before you can skip. Great comparison....

In 2007, the first YouTube ads debuted to the expected outrage, with users threatening to abandon the service. Unsurprisingly, that didn't happen. The content was simply too good, the levels of FOMO (fear of missing out) too high, and consumers have continued grumbling their way back to the site.

No, we started employing ad blockers.

Trust NZH to publish an article in favour of this. This whole article feels like I'm drinking kool-aid. It's so out-of-touch and corporate-friendly.
