[Advice] Has anyone moved into an apartment and immediately regretted it?

This is literally my exact situation, only with 1 roommate instead of multiple. My roommate doesn't clean or take care of the (many neglected) cats, or help with common area items like toilet paper, etc. I've lived there for 3 months now and found out we have a serious roach infestation as well, which she's in denial about. She's really actually just in denial about everything.

I was in a rush to get a roof over my head and overlooked all of these things before moving in, same as you. Once I was all moved in, something snapped and I had a complete breakdown once I realized what I'd just committed myself to.

All of that rambling to say, I feel your pain. I've decided to stay for now because it's cheap and I can use this time to get my finances in order to get a studio or something (hopefully), while I just bite my tongue and deal with living in this kind of place.

I wish you all the best of luck, my advice is to not waste too much energy trying to change your roommates if their habits are already set in stone. It'll just make it even more uncomfortable for you with that kind of animosity in the air.
