Advice for a Chef with poor mental health.

How are your systems?

Stress management is about identifying when I'm experiencing negative emotions, linking those to what's going on, and figuring out ways I can enact change. When furious get curious. What can I delegate? Ok I've delegated, lets go check on people and make sure they are doing it right. Keep a journal of things that annoy you during the day and work to set things up so you can prevent them.

You come in for a busy day and it's filthy. Do people need more training, do they need more accountability, or do your people just suck? Are you good at giving in the moment objective feedback? "That's perfect, thank you" is as important as "this is not what we are looking for, why is it like this."

Are you seeing a therapist?
