Advice for trip to Beirut

Stating Facts, NOT an opinion:

If you are Indian, Black, or look anything like an Asian (Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Filipino), your financial capability will be questioned, and you will be denied entry and looked down upon at many places, especially swimming pools or beaches as people would not want to be in the same water that you are in (or near you).

If you are a blonde woman you will be mistaken for a prostitute everywhere you go. Most people will assume you are Russian or from neighboring countries that speak Russian.

If that doesn't make things clear for you, the Arabic word for "Slave" is still used for black people in Lebanon until this day.

If you represent one of the previously mentioned ethnicities, expect the problems to start at the airport after arrival. You "may" be questioned.

The amount of Indian/Black/Asian people in Lebanon is incredibly minimal. Most work as maids (Females) and they will generally not be seen in public unless with their employers, as their freedom is limited and since they are heavily monitored.

There is a negative stereotype in Lebanon for most countries/races/ethnicities. Few are the ones who have been spared. I have simply highlighted a huge portion of them.

People will judge you to extreme measures for every little thing you do, say, and the way you look/dress. (This fact is not to be underestimated)
