[Advice]How do you train your brain to stop avoiding things as an automatic response to anxiety?

I'm really sorry you've had to go through this. It's definitely a difficult habit to break but it is possible. When I started to try and break this habit, I found it helpful to start with small, manageable tasks that didn't cause too much anxiety. It's important to recognize the feeling of anxiety, but also not to let it control your actions. As you start to face more difficult tasks, use breathing and mindfulness techniques to help relax your body and stay present with your feelings. Another helpful technique is to reward yourself with something small after completing the task. This will help make the habit of facing your fears more rewarding, rather than allowing yourself to be overwhelmed by the negative feelings. Good luck!
