[Advice Needed] I'm struggling to see why I should bother learning a language

I hate to make assumptions based on your profile flairs alone but it seems to me like you aren't proficient enough in a second language yet for the benefits to have become apparent. Yes, learning new languages is good workout for the brain and it can have practical benefits. However, the reason I, and many other people, learn languages is because once you get to the point where you can continue to learn the language directly from the people and their culture, you really start to see the world from their point of view. You rediscover yourself as you learn to express your thoughts with respect to the cultural assumptions embedded into the language and the cultural mindset of the people you speak with/observe as they express their "unmediated" thoughts. I don't know about you, but I just find that stuff to be so interesting.
