Advice on how to live a healthy life style, when your family is not supportive

This is my parents too. Mom bakes some sort of dessert every other day. I finally had to just have a one-on-one conversation and tell her that I appreciate that she cares enough about everyone to make these things for us, and to not take it personally that I never have any.

My Dad is a lost cause. "You too good to eat this now?" "You gonna weigh out your water too?" "Careful, I think sunlight has calories!" It's constant and never ending.

I went with my Mom to get groceries last week, and she bought 7 bags of chips for her and my Dad for one week. All they eat is chips, sweets, and everything is breaded. They go through four 12 packs a week of soda.

I know your pain when it comes to no one but you making changes. My only advice would be to keep why you want to do it in mind. You're doing it for you, not for them.

Learn how to cook for one. I cook and freeze portions because it is a lot easier to resist the pizza they bought when I can take something out of the freezer and eat healthy in minutes. Even if you don't cook, there are frozen dinners that are delicious that won't break the bank on calories.

For me, having options that are easy keeps me from cheating.
