Another fact is that their performances are highly futuristic, and need to deal with the crazy "integrated camerawork" that SM wants to make a thing so badly. Their whole approach is different imo, they are presenting their concept through videos of their performance rather than performing on stage for a live audience. They're doing a great job so far. I like winter's expressions too, she looks absolutely badass. Idc what people want, aespa makes their performances look less campy than if theyd perform like Twice, which I prefer. And yes they sing live, however the sound we receive from their videos just isnt what redditors want their vocals to sound like, and these people will never get over it (and SM will never change their approach to it back again either)
