Two reasons: 1) He left WCW before it became national when Hogan joined in 1994.
2) Most of this sub were children or weren’t even born yet by the time he left the company.

As people have mentioned, he left WCW in 1993. Yeah, I’m in my 30s and I was in elementary school when he left WCW. I was already watching WCW Saturday Night at that time, but I was young still and only remember bits and pieces from that time (mainly feuds I and wrestlers I really gravitated towards like Sting vs Rude, Dangerous Alliance, thinking the TV Championship was the more prestigious than the World Title because it had the better matches). I definitely don’t remember the ring announcer.
