I don't want to get into a big argument about it but once a trans person is taking female hormones, studies (the few studies that anyone has ever bothered to do) show that their muscle mass changes drastically and becomes basically that of a cis woman. Women who were formerly male runners lose entire minutes off their speed. They can't lift weights the way they used to. They have the same physical restrictions as cis women, because those restrictions are not chromosome related but hormone related.
Basically for most sports the only advantage that a trans woman who has been on hormones for years will have is statistically being taller.
