Africa's last colony

"200,000 Moroccans living in the Western Sahara representing 74% of the population"

This is an exceptionally simplistic view of things. There are far more Sahrawis than those in Tindouf, many of whom were expelled by the Spanish during the initial conquest of the Sahara and returned after Morocco regained the area. These are included in the total number of 'Moroccan colonists' which is pretty damn inaccurate.

There are plenty of Moroccans from all over the country living in the southern provinces that's true, but claiming that everyone who doesn't agree with the separatist narrative "isn't a real Sahrawi" is the general idea behind this kind of thing.

The reality is that the vast majority of Sahrawis in Morocco do in fact consider themselves Moroccan.
