After 2500 Trials of Osiris here are my suggestions/review

During the week you can load into elimination and have all the skill based matchmaking you can handle.

Lol, don't even fucking pretend like that's the same thing. Elimination can be solo-queue'd and hardly anyone communicated in it. The only thing it prepares you for is the round-based play and revives.

A top tier PvP load out is available to everyone for purchase at the tower and completing quests.'

Oh, please. There are decent guns at tower, but rarely do you get one with the right perks unless you get a lucky roll from vanguard or crucible package... which you have a better chance of getting if you've played for a much longer time.

Except there's already fucking consolation prizes by way of the bounties and even whole fucking separate legendary armor set you get after matches.

That they have to put in there for regular players to put up with the bull-shit that is the match-making.

Working to improve your skill is absolutely the largest factor to you winning games and succeeding overall. Saying otherwise is a cop out and insulting to people like me who worked to do so.

Exactly, working on skills is the best path to be a better player. However, you're not going to get better by getting matched up against people completely out of your class. just because you want a few easy round to help you on your way to lighthouse, doesn't mean it's a fair system. So don't cry to me about how hard you worked when you're looking for an easier route yourself.

You don't need a Doctrine of Passing to compete in trials. You don't need a last word either. You need fucking teamwork, and good strategy above everything else.

Except those things help considerably, and when those weapons are in the hands of skilled players, they are almost impossible to take down unless you have gear on a similar level.

You can try and play this any way you want, but the match-making is fucked. You should have to play people with similar skill levels. It's not fair to new players to have to play pro-esque players, and it's not fair for pro-esque players to get to lighthouse by beating a bunch of fucking newbies. If you really were as great as you say, you'd look for more competition, not less.
