After gimmes what do you think is the biggest contributor to a golfer's handicap being 'inaccurate'?

So then play sports that penalize you less for sucking?

Comparing rules of sports that aren’t related in any way makes no sense, but if you wanna go down that route, if a quarterback throws an interception and it is returned for a touchdown the team goes down 6 points, effectively losing points. Should they not allow that? Is that too severe?

In gymnastics, and a myriad of other sports with judging, people lose points for falling. Should they not? Too severe of a penalty?

In tennis your opponent gets points when you miss serves, why don’t they just let players serve until they get the ball in? Seems a bit too severe of a penalty if you ask me!
