After having read multiple "DAE find Overwatch so much better than League" it amazes me that no one is talking about the real reason its less stressful.

Well, blizzard also has great history of fucking up badly. But, Riot is just doing terribly right now with league at the moment:

Riot has no control over their game itself: every patch, ever since its release, it is packed with bugs, and people continuously receive random bug splats being unable to connect to the game. This is team PvP, this really should not happen given LoL's position. Moreover, they got this massive bot/illicit program issues going on for long time, and still could not make any meaningful progress on it. Reddit is oelatively quite about it, but Inven has salvaging on it for last 6months.

Meanwhile Riot tries too hard to control the environment itself. As recent Renegade and TDK incidents showed riot tries to be law makers, judge and interpreter at the same time, aka absolute power. They only decides to listen when great 'fuss' was made over internet, let it be teylor watever incidents(just how many times did he get reported b4hand), BO3 systems and probably sound booth soon. Even in Korea with Kespa-OGN-Riot balancing system in place, riot single handily attempted to take control over whole situation, only to make some amendment after being widely criticized. Going specifically into game plays, riot makes patches according to the playstyle that they desire games to be played out. They nerf out the chamions, and slowly each champion's uniquness demeaned, until the point they just rework it. Sure it makes game new and keeps it interesting for heavy users, but for others, it just makes game confusing creating some sort of barrier to entry for the game.

I really feel this should be other way around, environment should be free for everyone, and riot should respect different parties involved, while riot has full control over their game itself. Sure this text only looked at the problem of the rito; they did some amazing things as well, like establishing a functioning esports league even outside Korea. However, with recent incidents, riot should really look back and rethink about themselves.
