After the pandemic is over you can just rename this sub Former Leftists

If there is a robustly leftist argument floating around against lockdowns, I would read it immediately, and thought I might run into that here but instead have run into the weirdest mixture of anti-intellect leftists and conservative trolls.

Is there any marginally reputable academic treatment out there that argues even semi-comprehensively (since there are so many factors to consider) that lockdowns do more harm than good? I certainly haven't heard of one, but given that mainstream society is now so extremely favorable to this line of thinking, the censorship argument makes very little sense.

I think it's more the obvious case, that a really robust and data-filled argument that lockdowns do more harm than good is impossible because it would be laughable at best and probably undermine its own effort.
