After reporting 994 deaths yesterday, the highest since June 10th, the USA continues its upward trajectory with a further 844 deaths reported so far today

By the way, and I know it sounds stupid, but I hope you and your immediate loved ones are doing well. Where I am we've definitely dodged the worst of it for now, but the mental effects of lockdown and the deaths of the virus have hit a bunch of people I know so hard. I process unemployment claims as a frontline face to face worker, and live with my dad who'd be a high chance of being toast if he got it.

For 3 months we isolated from each other, now we have no local cases so I am teaching this 67 year old math and physics lecturer how to play Battlefield V in the same room as me (he found a sporadic love for videogames starting with Goldeneye, which he finished on the hardest difficulty) and watching classic movies in our spare time again and it's actually quite overwhelming to do the simple things now, in a good way.

So whatever the fallout this has for you, I know it's likely, even for the luckiest of us like me, to have some, and I hope my disagreements aren't too rude and I hope you are, and will do well, as the world lurches through the health, economic and psychological fallout.
