Do you agree there’s a problem when 99% of critics are old white men? Yes or no. If yes, then do you agree that there needs to be intentional change to increase diversity among film critics? If you think that any deliberate action to increase diversity and fight against systemic inequality is “racist,” then you’re denying racism and supporting the unequal status quo. You can’t have it both ways.
