This afternoon at Clarence Drive Recycling point... Post Dry-January Rebound OR Cooncil Collection Failure?

Refuse services have moved back to reduced service due to the lockdown (staff are being given the opportunity to have reduced contact too to let them keep safe like everyone else). Lockdown means more people are inside, generating more household waste than usual.

I know r/Glasgow loves a bit of cooncil bashing, but you need to remember that the 'cooncil' is thousands of individual people who are also working reduced contact hours because of the whole pandemic thing and mutant strains.

Several Glasgow refuse workers have died of covid. The nature of the job means social distancing isn't possible when providing a full service (sharing vans etc) and less bin emptying happens to allow social distancing (less people out together).
