You are wrong, you get to chose where your tax money goes, in the voting booth like anyone else.

Except if you don't have Voter ID in many places. Except if you live in a gerrymandered district. Hell, you could vote and still not have it mean shit Nationally because you voted in California instead of Ohio. Even in the best case scenario, your vote has a microcosm of an impact on where your money ends up.

Statistically, most of your money is going to go to paying for old people to retire, Healthcare (especially for the elderly), and the Military. No matter which party you vote for or who leads that party; that's been the case for several decades.

You picked a very agreeable case with planed parenthood, but you could also pick an example of donating to a religious charity that ralies against planed parenthood, should that be tax exempted as well? Because right now that is happening

Yes, because the charity is tax exempt as well. The charity might be stupid but it's a non-profit; I don't want the Government, especially the current Government, deciding which organizations and taxes to those organizations should be changed. If they're a non-profit and I'm donating to them, neither of us should then have to pay more money on top of that.

You can look at the 2017 Tax Reform and the end of the SALT deduction to see clear evidence that Republicans target groups they want to punish with a laser focus when they have the leverage. I myself didn't care that the deduction was removed, but it was plainly and obviously done because it benefited blue states overwhelmingly.

Given the chance, they would love to strip an organization like Planned Parenthood or the ACLU of tax exempt status and then tax donations to those groups to discourage support.
