Ageism backlash against Makeup Revolution?

Ah but they include them in their advertising because it looks good. But the way they treat the mature women they work with is not the same as how they treat the young ones.

Another mature YouTuber Samatha Jaelle who worked with them just posted a video saying she would stop reviewing/working with/contact with them because whilst they did include older women in promo material, it was clear that she was still not seen as valid or equal in comparison.

I mean yes, obviously the younger market is more profitable, it’s trendy, they are more likely to throw money at their favorite influencer collab and every other release without thinking. That’s why Revolution go for that market, so it makes business sense.

Throwing in the token older woman on the advertising makes those customers feel included when they see that, but the takeaway was that it was all a show for good press, and really they’re still considered too old and irrelevant to churn enough money out for them.
