It's gotta be tough. Almost no one want's to make the attempt to empathize. And the ones that do are typically called out as enablers and sympathizers.

Pedos are one of the few unobjectionable punching bags in society. It is automatically assumed that the condition is synonymous with molesting kids. And that obviously gives everybody the moral high ground in their minds.

And what are communities to do? In stark contrast to gay or trans rights who have large communities of allies advocating for them as well. Any community that is sniffed out as accepting pedophilia as anything other then a horrible mental disorder will be beaten into submission by literally the rest of society. Furrys already have an image problem and having the whole community start saying, yea all the cub stuff is fine and pedophilia is just a really unfortunate sexuality that can't be pursued in real life... Well I think we know what would happen.

That's what I think. I think we need to look at it that way otherwise we will never be able to help anyone who deals with it. What we can actually do to help people who deal with it I dunno I'm not a psychologist but I know shunning and making them the butt of every torture and murder joke is not the answer.

Society isn't ready yet but if you want to put that target on your back and fight for your right to be recognized as a person with a problem and not just a monster. I guess i'm behind you.
