AHS: Cabin Fever is an interesting concept. Just for funsies.
(Side Note: forgive me, I just started writing and kept going.)
Sarah Paulson as The Mother: Mother taking her family to a cabin in the woods before her youngest daughter leaves for college.
Evan Peters as The Journalist: Man who has been researching a series of murders that occurred in the woods 10 years earlier. Relentlessly pursues the Younger Daughter, even after she shows no interest.
Emma Roberts as the Older Daughter: burnout daughter who is reconnecting with her family after a failed stint in Hollywood. Blames her family for cutting her off while in LA, forcing her to do vaguely referenced shameful projects.
Taissa Farmiga as the Younger Daughter: bright eyed younger daughter heading off to college. Often teased for being so school-focused that she's never had a boyfriend.
Cody Fern as Handsome Local: local boy who immediately catches both daughter's attentions. Seems to alternate between deeply interested and flirtatious to completely apathetic and cold.
Frances Conroy as Old Woman in the Woods: woman who seems to keep spying on the family. Never speaks to them directly.
Kathy Bates as Ms. Meade: a woman staying in a nearby cabin in the woods.
Kane Hodder as the Monster: a tall, primitive, destructive monster who attacks the family soon after they settle into the cabin. Appears to be composed of stitched together parts.
Lady Gaga or Stuntwoman as Scathatch
Plot: in the year 2000, the Paulson family (mother and two daughters) take a vacation to a remote cabin. Sarah is trying to reconnect with Emma, who hates her, while making sure she doesn't lose Taissa.
On their first night Taissa meets Cody, who she seems to instantly fall in love with. All goes well until Cody awkwardly asks if she is a virgin.
That night, the family wakes up to see Frances Conroy watching them through a window.
The next night the family is attacked by the Monster.
The family calls the police, but no police ever arrive. Evan Peters informs them that no police will be coming - they cannot leave either. When they attempt to go a certain distance from the cabin, they reappear inside the cabin. Halloween is in two weeks, Evan explains, they're stuck until then. When they demand to know why, Evan Peters cryptically says "He has until Halloween to kill you all."
Cody comes to check on the family. He isolates Taissa and says he knows how to keep her safe. Taissa follows him into the woods, where they encounter Scathatch. Cody falls to one knee before her. When Taissa looks at Scathatch she immediately falls in love. Scathatch (in pretty Gaga form) begins seducing Taissa. When we see Scathatch through Cody's eyes her flesh is green and rotting.
They are interrupted by the Monster. Cody sacrifices himself to save Taissa. Taissa flees back to her family.
Upon arrival, Taissa sees that Mrs. Meade, the older Hippie lady who rented the cabin them, has been wounded by the Monster and her husband is tending to her.
Skip to the End because this is already too goddamn long
It is Halloween night. Evan Peters tries to force himself on Taissa. She fights him, but he insists he has to.
In the background we hear Emma get killed by the Monster. Sarah is fleeing through the woods from the Monster, while Evan has Taissa cornered.
Mrs. Meade and her husband are fleeing as well. The Monster seems to be everywhere at once. Meade suddenly plunges a dagger into her husband's side. He looks betrayed as he stumbles against a tree. Meade runs into the fog.
The Monster approaches the husband and begins disemboweling him. Meade uses this distaction to plunge the knife into the Monster repeatedly, then decapitating it.
Just as Evan is about to enter her, Taissa plunges a fancy pen from her college that she's carried around all season into his eye. He stumbles backward out of a window to his death.
Meade finds Sarah in the woods. She tells her everything is alright now - before slitting her throat.
Taissa wanders the woods in a daze. Scathatch appears before her, with the ghosts of Emma and Sarah. Scathatch seduces Taissa.
The next day, once Halloween is over, Meade builds a shrine with the Monster's head on it. Scathatch and Frances Conroy come out. Scathatch tells Frances that she lost this decade: Scathatch seduced the virgin before Frances could kill the family. Ms Meade reminds Scathatch that she is owed a favor. Scathatch agrees and says "one of my houses in the West will produce the destroyer that you've been waiting for."
As Meade leaves the woods, Taissa attacks her. She knows that Meade killed her mom. In the struggle, Meade kills Taissa.
Scathatch observes this and whispers a second spell: "one of my houses in the West will produce the destroyer that you've been waiting for, but for all generations my daughters will slaughter your destroyer."
In the last five minutes we see another family hiking through the woods, oblivious to the carnage. They find an abandoned baby swaddled beside a tree. The family quickly retrieve the baby and see that there is a note attached: "This is my daughter, Mallory, in whom I am well pleased. -S"
