Air tent opinions and recommendations

I'm not, and never likely to be, in the market for a monstrosity like these. I haven't holidayed at a campground since I was dragged along as a child myself, they don't have any appeal to me now and I can't foresee any circumstances under which that would change.

All my tenting I do these days (and there's a lot of it) is in the back-country where other factors are front of mind, a back country tent is quite a different beast to the likes of these.

Though if you really care about ease of set-up, and pack down, I might suggest to you an X-Mid tent. The inner and fly can remain clipped together and rolled/stuffed into a little stuff sack, simply stake out the four corners, and insert your two hiking poles and you're done in 3 minutes or less. Everything you need, and nothing that you don't, and it's only 600 g!
