Airbnb guests are finding hidden cameras planted in their rentals

It used to be toilets and restrooms because they recorded on tape, so they had to manually activate them or reset them several times per day and review them by hand (gross pun). The cameras were also large, loud and expensive.

These days, they can just toss a camera up with a Raspberry Pi for motion detection and to throw it to anonymous cloud storage via wifi.

I largely assume that I may be recorded anywhere outside of my home. I hate the concept of it (I don't even have a Facebook account), but it doesn't particularly worry or bother me. It's just the world we live in. I worry far more about embarrassing drunken photos than I do from some creep catching me skinny dipping.
