AirPods case works as a iPhoneX stand

I understand your point. I'm not sure if it's my background in math, or my social circles, or that I'm from NYC, or something else. When I met my girlfriend, she had just started a job in Manhattan. She told me a story about how her colleague asked her where she was living, and she responded "Manhattan." I gave her this look (which she said was like the one her colleage gave he) and told her that's not an acceptable answer. There are more than 70 or 80 neighborhoods in Manhattan, so acceptable answers would be "Upper East Side", or "two blocks from the 86th St Lexington subway" or even the exact cross street, e.g., "86th and 2nd."

She told me that when people at college asked her where she was from, she would say "Washington," as in the state. When people from ask me where I am (including internationally), I generally tell them New York City. Since that is a subset of both New York State and the USA, it saves people from wondering where in the US?

I just find that there's no reason to omit details if more information can be communicated in the same amount of time. I'm not going to say my "iPhone X 64GB Space Gray," but I prefer to be more specific to render possible subsequent clarifications unnecessary.
