Airport covid procedures

My wife came back from Florida at the beginning of the month.

When she came out of the secure area in the terminal, just on the other side of the doors there were several gentleman from the army, I believe, handing out clipboards and forms so that they can do contact tracing. They did not ask me about producing any negative test results.

If it makes it easier, you can fill out the form online. https://forms.ny.gov/s3/Welcome-to-New-York-State-Traveler-Health-Form rather than in the airport. After filling it out, you'll receive an email confirming that you filled out the form. You can show them this so you dont' have to fill the form out again.

According to this site, https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory,

"For any traveler to New York State from a noncontiguous state, US territory or CDC level 2 or level 3 country, the new guidelines for travelers to test-out of the mandatory 14-day quarantine are below:

For travelers who were out-of-state for more than 24 hours:

Travelers must obtain a test within three days of departure, prior to arrival in New York.

The traveler must, upon arrival in New York, quarantine for three days.

On day 4 of their quarantine, the traveler must obtain another COVID test. If both tests comes back negative, the traveler may exit quarantine early upon receipt of the second negative diagnostic test."
