AITA - ordered a custom wreath, then hated it and didn't buy it when complete.

YTA. It doesn’t matter if you liked it. You weren’t being specific and she spent her own money on materials as well as her own time. An artist’s revenue has time factored into the cost and you didn’t have the morality to pay for her time wasted on your lack of accurate communication. If you wanted something specific you should have said AS she was asking you. She clearly tried to be as open as possible and get your opinion on everything. I commend her for her communication skills. Even if you hate the product you still need to pay her because you didn’t speak up with your preferences. My boyfriend recently commissioned someone $75 to create a logo for his mother and through the process she didn’t give any opinions so of course at the end he gave his mom final say and she HATED it. So what did he do? he PAID THE ARTIST ANYWAYS because you don’t screw with someone’s livelihood just because it doesn’t match your needs perfectly when you weren’t outspoken enough to say what you want and don’t want.
