AITA for backing out of a ski trip from hell?

I think this point is moot as the ways chalets work is you pay for the whole house which has a number of bedrooms. So obviously if 3/4 (1 person didn’t mention how they felt either way but never paid the deposit) people drop out the other people have to pay for the extra bedrooms. In this case half the group didn’t want to go. Also apparently (I learned this after the fact) organizers who bring in this many guests traditionally stay in chalets for free for bringing in so many guests. Plus they found someone to replace me immediately and took my (and I’m sure this other person’s deposit). Either way though, once this became a serious health risk for the whole group they should not have pressured people to pay or go. That’s not how friends look out for each other, the deposit was small and they all work high networth jobs. I’m sure they were only mad due to not being able to stay for free anymore.
