AITA for calling my fat friend fat after she called me a twig?

I was diagnosed with "IBS" (in quotes because they didn't actually see any physival symptoms of IBS) and told all my symptoms were psychosomatic and I needed to learn destressing techniques (symptoms of debilitating pain and significant weight loss). I dealt with that diagnosis from 5 different doctors for 7 years until they finally realized I had ovarian cysts that caused my fallopian tubes to collapse.

When I was pregnant and showing off my baby bump, it hurt like hell when a friend commented that "you need to be 20 weeks pregnant to be visible from the side?!"

But I wasn't allowed to be offended because skinny people are blessed...I guess.

Also, my husband has gone to great, sometimes unsafe, lengths in his bachelor days to try and gain weight. Because people qould openly and blatently question his manhood because he's so skinny.

He has since accepted who he is, but our 3 year old son is very skinny despite a healthy appetite and already people are commenting about how tiny he is and it bothers him (my son), and my husband is extremely protective over hour child's self esteem.

Body shaming damages anylne who is shamed. It's utter BS to think that the societal norms of "skinny is better than fat" would mean that a skinny person shouldn't feel the pain of being shamed as much.
