AITA for calling my boyfriend's little sister racist because she likes kpop?

You’re the asshole, you should understand that the kid is a kid and they say and do stupid stuff, you’re also the asshole for not know what the literally definition of racism is just like most people in the comments.

If someone likes your culture they aren’t racist.

I would also add, if you have such high regard for your culture that you feel the awkward complements that she was giving are “racist”, is your culture so exclusive in your mind that no one can like it other than your own race or other people that have learned it’s customs? Is there no starting point? Because if so that’s a step learning curve you’ve imaginarily put in place.

The way you put it, if you’ve done anything wrong when participating in other cultures and not preforming proper etiquette, you’re racist, even if you never meant any harm, you’re racist. This isn’t correct, you are wrong for what you said about her, you are wrong for not questioning yourself and doing your own information searches.

You don’t get to just say words and think it’s all fine, you own your boyfriend an apology.
