This isn't the first time she's been negligent. This isn't just about the dog, this is about someone who completely disrespects the well being of those around her. She could burn your damn house down one day, by leaving towels on the wrong burner. She can't take a simple instruction that you trusted her with while she was sober. You put trust in her to be respectful and responsible for another life, WHILE SHE WAS SOBER, and she couldn't do it. Her issues are above your pay grade, and you can't fix her lack of caring about those around her with all the love in the world. Relationships need trust, which you clearly don't have for her - and that's fine. Leave and find someone you CAN trust. I support you.
