AITA- For complaining about paying a friend full price for photography?

Idk the safety of a baby is worth less than a photo shoot and editing?

There's also a supply and demand aspect to it. A lot of people can babysit. This isn't a shot at your wife's babysitting skills in case that isn't clear, but people literally hire 12 year olds to babysit. I'm sure your wife is a better babysitter than a 12 year old. But, it isn't hard to find a babysitter.

I'd bet that there are a lot less people who can take and edit good photos than people who can competently babysit, so it makes sense that good photographers would charge more than babysitters. I agree as well with some of the other comments I've seen. Photography can be expensive if you have a good photographer. Then there's fees on top of their work if they have to go on location for you, etc.

Also to clarify since I didn't mention it in my previous comment, I don't think YTA for complaining/questioning the price difference. I think this is a NAH situation.
