AITA for demanding that my really white boyfriend wear sunscreen?

YTA

Im so dang pasty that i make snow look sun kissed. I’m so pasty that my veins make my skin look legit blue and transparent. I also don’t wear sunscreen all the time. If someone decides that my body autonomy should be overridden because THEY have decided that I should wear sunscreen, then I’d be offended as well. And if they had the audacity to start slathering it on me even after I told them no, we‘d be having feisty words.

I wear long sleeves. I wear sunglasses. I wear ball caps. I look after my body as best I can in the practically tropical sun scorching heat that is my adopted country, and I’ve had people suggest I wear sunscreen a handful of times because apparently you can bake when it’s actually cloudy as heck outside - something that doesn’t happen too often in my birth country.

How you approach it determines how they respond. Parenting them and overriding their autonomy is not the way to go.
