Alright so the overwhelming consensus seems to be that I'm the asshole.

I don't love this result but I accept my judgement. If the crowd believes I should take the money, who am I to complain?

I'll text my mom in the morning that she can pay for our wedding as she's been begging to do. Unfortunately, this will likely turn our small ~$30K wedding into a multicoastal $100K+ affair. I'm feeling nauseous just thinking about spending that much money on a party since it would be several years worth of savings and work for me.

One one hand, my mother is ecstatic, on the other, I feel disgusted with myself. I hope I'm doing the right thing. Appreciate everyone's input.
