AITA for expecting basic human decency from my best friend?

I used to have these same expectations of my friends in my 20’s. It’s infuriating to not get what you painstakingly give. Here’s the thing it took me so long to realize: Nobody asked you to do so much. You’re expecting to be matched on a level you put yourself on while everyone else did what they’re comfortable with. You can’t change their comfort levels. I’m actually proud of your friend for not allowing her device to control her life - I wish I had that level of self control. Keep doing you, whatever level of commitment that means for your life but the lofty expectations you have of others will only set you up for some hurt feelings as life continues to come at you. Take care, friend.
