The rent piece is up for you both to decide and doesn’t make either of you assholes as finances are personal and in my opinion would best be resolved through mutual compromise, but the way you talked about your girlfriend specifically at the end is asshole behavior.

Referring to somebody you care about as a gold digger for looking out for herself is harsh and I would be hurt if my partner posted something like that, forget about having disagreement on rent.
