AITA for forcing my 11-year-old to attend church with the family

NAH I was around 11 when I realized I did not believe a word from the church. My parents made me continue until I was confirmed. (Some might see this as abuse but it's similar to hated violin lessons, parent sees it as beneficial, kid sees it as a chore.)

After confirmation I never went back to a service unless it was something important to my family such as my brother wanting me to attend his confirmation or a few choir performances over the years. Me sitting in the pews to support people I love doesn't make me a believer.

Don't force your son to go, respect his feelings, but don't be afraid to parent and let him know that his lack of faith doesn't give him a pass to not support family. ***My parents immediately stopped Easter candy and Christmas gifts when I was no longer a believer.
