AITA for getting causing my coworker to get fired?

YTA.

I've worked with people like your coworker before. They laughed at me for my own weaknesses/lack of knowledge too. Constantly. They may even throw some sexist comments here and there. It's very common. But I'm also not their fake friend, I'm their coworker. If they're on my team, we do our job and go home. There's not enough hours in a day to play those games you like to play, especially on company time.

It's cute how you responded only to the one NTA comment in this thread. At some point, you asked "what would you have done?" You know what I would do? Nothing. You know why? Because they end up getting themselves fired anyway, or moved to another position. Those people tend to be assholes to everyone, not just you. The company starts documenting things long before some asshole like you gets hired. You only accelerated the process by making it public.

And you know what? Those coworkers, despite their asshole ways, they're good at their job for a reason. I most certainly don't wanna be their friend, but I still learn from them and give credit where it's due. That's how you get promoted. What you did was not only cowardly, but it shows how incompetent you really are. Do your damn job and worry about yourself.
