AITA for holding a girl’s driver’s license hostage?

I'm in for a rude awakening? I'm decades past the day that I'd be anywhere near a party where it's normal for people to get shit-faced drunk, much less lead each other up stairs for hookups requiring me to hold their wallets. This is baby behavior. The older and more mature you get, the more you take control of your pleasure time- and that involves a lot of communication and setting expectations and intentions before your evening begins. You can't run around expecting everyone to have your back without conversation first. That's how you end up losing your wallet and having your friend run defense on the person you think maybe coulda done it. (Or worse- as might've happened in this scenario, we don't know.)
