In that case, we ran in to shitty apathetic nurses when my dad had his heart surgery. We knew all his friends would want to visit aftre the surgery, but we specifically asked the nurses to not allow visitors for at least 3 days, until he had his tubes, catheders, etc removed. They all agree, and then a few hours later, his nosy friends start knocking on the door, one after another. I turned into a real asshole that day, and yelled at the nurses and told them if they didn't want to enforce their own rules, I would be happy to hire private security on their floor for the duration of my father's stay. They didn't seem to like that, and complained to the head nurse. At least she took my side and reprimanded them for their negligence.
