AITA for leaving my business to my son who has helped it grow?

As a third son in a family-owned business: YTA .

You don’t give your son the business, he buys it from you and you can use the money for your retirement. The inheritance can be 50/50.

My parents sold the company to my 2 older brothers 50/50. They wanted 49/49/2 with me being the 2% but I declined. I’m not going to be the bone the others fight over to have control over the company and I did not get money in place of that.

So, I’m not being greedy but fair. The inheritance for each of us would be around a million until my father thought being a good business man meant he was also a good stockbroker. He’s broke now.

Him and my mother divorced for a day to divide the assets and re-married with a prenup. so my mom still has her money and they both live on that. Why the divorce/remarry? Because my father IS greedy. (“Successful stockbroker”)
