AITA for not changing the requirements for our apprenticeships?

Her appearance wasn't relevant for me. Like I said, my fiancé worked here for a month, an she also has a bit longer nails, earrings and our engagement ring. All was covered, taped and she left out makeup she normally needs. She still proved that she can look like a model so if that's what girls want, there was the living proof.

I didn't consider he for the exact same reason I made the changes to the requirements. She must have seen ir on a page that wasn't updated yet, which is unfair, I know. But there are other pages that advertise our company and we can't do anything if they update to slowly.

The job is deffinetly capable of being done by both genders. Hell I've seen women do it better than any men.

From what I know, we have a business school right next to the company and a lot of students that went there are now here. The drop was probaly in females coming from that school.

Also, I posted also pictures of my work diary that I had to do when I was an apprentice years ago. And it states that I had to watch my hands for minutes because I had acid glue under my fingernails. I had to wear a a mask that completely suffocated me(but looked badass). I had to clean up stuff that was in a magnetic are and got stuck because I wore a ring under my glove.

All in all, this job isn't targeted at only men. It should be off-putting to both genders. From my expericen we have more women applying at the IT or business sides of our company, which is not my area.
