Normally I do surprise e-transfers and they just text me a thank you in private so no one knew what anyone else was getting. This time though, I asked my older sis if she wanted the kids money as cash or in their 529 cos they're both doing remote school and I didn't know if they needed supplies, etc.

She asked what the occasion was because normally I only do this on birthdays or Christmas and I told her I received a bonus. She asked me how much and I think she just wanted to brag about me a little (she's more like a second mom due to age gap) not expecting it'd cause resentment. So that kicked off the convo between my siblings about how much they received.
