Dude, if they did not give you the position then you should have quit your job and the company. You stayed back. You remain hired by the company for the help they might require and the work that you are supposed to do!

You not doing work just because you are a petty douche who could not quit when he was not given what he was promised, and that too not officially FYI, you suck. The company should have you fired and charges pressed on you.

You cannot hold a promise of a position over their heads for fixing something that your job demands. And also, because of people like you start up's go out of buisness.

Go apologize and be ashamed. And if you want a better position based on your experience, go somewhere where they will appreciate your talent.
