AITA for not paying rent in cash to my parents?

INFO

But she wants it in cash every month. So she won't have to pay taxes on it.

I'm not trying to be a troll, I'm asking sincerely here, and this is for anybody to answer if you'd be so kind... You have to report "rent" that your own kid pays you while living in your own family home? So are you saying that the, I imagine, millions of young adults who are currently paying their own parents rent right now, those parents are supposed to report those checks to the IRS come tax time? If yes, how screwed is my dad for the few hundred dollars per month, times a few years, worth of checks that I know for sure he's never reported to the IRS? And again, I'm asking seriously lol
