AITA for not wanting to renovate the bathroom?

NTA. A home must be functional first and can optionally also be pretty, but that is second priority.

When I was a kid my parents had a similar situation. They fixed the basement because structure of the home is so much more important. In the process they decided that they don't actually want to undergo the stress of unneccesary home renos right now. 20 years later, the bathroom is still ugly as hell, but useable and the home has gone up in value a lot, because it is in structually pristine condition and in a good neighbourhood. My parents are very happy with that setup and look forward to a reasonable retirement in their unperfect, but fully functional home.
