AITA for outing my former colleague as a bully and potentially losing him his job?

This is why I hate social media so much. No one is allowed to grow and move on. You have to be forever stuck at your worst And treated like that. As someone who was bullied myself, I get how bad it hurts. But as someone who’s now middle-aged, I understand both how the brain forms and is not done growing until mid-twenties, leading to making questionable decisions partly based on biology, as well as the fact that hurting people hurt others, and we All have our journey to both better ourselves and others in this world,

Karma, as you so nicely put it, already hit him. He had to go on his journey to accept who he was, which if he was as bad as you say, meant he was dealing with a lot of internal demons and shame. He managed the strength to put that aside, and not only help himself, he became a strong advocate for others. He’s walked many miles since he was the man you knew who bullied you.

No, I do not agree with you on how you handled this. You don’t ever have to forgive him, but by destroying him now, you are showing the worst of traits, and it’s a bit hypocritical. Please don’t hide behind karma. If you’re going to destroy him, then call it what it is, revenge, pure and simple.
