AITA for refusing to support my son's pregnant girlfriend until she takes a paternity test?

You are more than entitled to feel the way you do regarding the relationship. People here are going to act like they've never had a friend or family member date or marry someone they fundamentally disagreed with. I have. My sister ended up getting with somebody I knew would be an issue. He's a very mediocre person. When my sister got pregnant I pleaded with her to leave the state so she could be closer to family, and subsequently be harder for him to sue for custody. She didn't listen to me and sure enough, boyfriend is a mediocre parent. Regardless of how I was right, I lost my relationship with my sister. I will still see her on the rare occasion, but we are nowhere near as close as we were. You might have to make that decision to bite your tongue in order to be close to your son and grandchild, because if you press too hard it's very possible you'll lose him.
