AITA for telling an Irish-American to stay in her lane?

I understand. It's not that way here. People talk about how their families come from all over and blend together. One grandmother even talked about how both of her parents worked to make both of their cultures work in their home. It's cool to hear that.

Clearly America is working through racism and I absolutely am against racism. But when talk about how my German grandmother marrying an Irish man despite losing her whole family over "ruining their purity", I am proud of her. I think it's worth mentioning she didn't let those ideals stand in her way of being with someone she loved. It's no different than the grandfather who married a native American and had to overcome that.
